First, I would like to start by saying I have been extremely blessed. I have been a chiropractor in Bentonville for the past year. I am from Springdale, Arkansas. My chiropractic story isn't one that has an awesome chiropractic miracle attached to it.

 

I am the son of two immigrants. My mother moved to the US from Mexico and my father moved here from Vietnam. They moved here in search of a GOOD LIFE.

 

Long story short, I decided I wanted to be able to help people find a solution to aches and pains without the need for highly addictive medications. Through chiropractic, I have been able to help people achieve their personal health goals naturally. I have been practicing at Santos Chiropractic in Bentonville for the past year, but now it is time to open my own clinic closer to home.

 

For as long as I can remember, I have had to translate for my mother. I remember sitting in medical offices as a small boy with my mother. I quickly had to learn how to communicate back and forth, English to Spanish. My mother often felt like she wasn’t given the best medical care due to her language. She never blamed the health care professional, she blamed herself for not fully being able to communicate her needs. There is only so much a mother feels her 5 year old son needs to know, so often my mother suppressed issues to avoid telling me things.

 

Fast forward to present day. I want to be the a voice for those who have difficulty communicating to medical professionals. I don’t want there to be another parent struggling to communicate their symptoms. No translator needed at our office. Within our walls, people will find a BUENA VIDA.

He estado practicando en Santos Chiropractic en Bentonville durante el año pasado, pero ahora es el momento de abrir mi propia clínica más cerca de casa. Recuerdo que tuve que traducir como un niño para mi madre. Yo era la única forma de comunicación que mi madre tenía con el médico. Rápidamente tuve que aprender a comunicarme en inglés y español. Mi madre se sentía como si no le hubieran dado la mejor atención médica debido a su lenguaje. Nunca culpó al profesional de la salud, se culpó a sí misma por no poder comunicar sus necesidades. Hay tanto que una madre siente que su hijo de 5 años necesita saber, por lo que mi madre ocultó los problemas para evitar decirme cosas. Quiero ser la voz de aquellos que tienen dificultades para comunicarse con los profesionales médicos.

 

No quiero que haya otro padre que tiene que luchar por comunicar sus síntomas. No se necesita traductor en nuestra oficina. Dentro de nuestra oficina, la gente encontrará un BUENA VIDA sin dolores y molestias!
